Manual Lymphatic Drainage – Combined Decongestive Therapy (CDT)

“Combining a Truly Relaxing Massage with your Medical needs”

Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) has been described this way since it was developed by Danish Dr. Emil & Estrid Vodder in the 1930s.  MLD has become widely recognised and practiced in clinics across the Globe to treat a variety of conditions.

What is MLD and how can it help You?

The relaxing effect of MLD often disguises the power of the treatment itself. The MLD treatment is a very gentle, light touch massage that improves the efficiency of the body’s waste disposal system known as the lymphatic system.

The massage movements used are very specific and gentle, however, they serve to stimulate and increase the rate of removal of waste products, toxins and excess fluid from the body’s tissues.

There are significant benefits that MLD provides and my patients seek treatment to help them for a variety of reasons, including to:

  • alleviate swelling which may occur as a result of lymphoedema after breast cancer
  • speed up recovery after cosmetic surgery
  • detox and cleanse their body from the inside out
  • reduce swollen ankles during pregnancy

MLD is a highly specialised form of massage and it is therefore essential for your health and wellbeing that a therapist you choose is properly trained.

Finding a highly experienced, well trained & caring practitioner you can trust

Since 1997, I have practised MLD and massage and have run my own private clinics in Bexleyheath and Broadstairs. During this time I have treated hundreds of patients seeking relief from their symptoms.

I continue to undergo training to ensure that my patients receive the best possible treatment available to them.

I am a member of MLDuk the professional association of manual lymphatic drainage practitioners.

Treatment at a location to suit you

I run appointments at several clinics throughout Kent. These include the Lessness Clinic, Bexleyheath, The Bexleyheath Chiropractic Clinic and Herbs, Gardens and Health, St. Peters, Broadstairs. If your circumstances require that your condition be treated at home then this can be accommodated.
